Luz Martinez

Born March 1, 1968 in Mexico and has been a resident of Ventura County for 36 years. Luz graduated from Oxnard High School in 1986 and worked as a medical assistant for 23 years.

She was a loving mother who loved being with family. She was a hard worker, enjoyed caring for others, and took great care in her appearance everyday. Her favorite past-time was dancing.

She is survived by her husband Javier Martinez; daughter Jennifer Martinez; son Javier Martinez Jr.; parents Juan Flores Sr. and Carmen Flores; sisters Maria Lopez and Angelica Flores; brothers Juan Flores Jr., Efrain Flores, and Luis Flores; and multiple nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Luz will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Conrads & James Reardon with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 17, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by a burial at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.
