Manuel Ordoñez joined our heavenly father on June 28, 2019 at the age of 91. On February 19, 1928 Manuel was born in Oxnard to Guadalupe and Bernardo Ordoñez. He married his beautiful Socorro Lopez on May 21,1949 and spent 64 wonderful years together, raising their seven children. Manuel was an Air Force Veteran and spent his military service overseas during World War II. While serving in Japan honorably, he earned several decorations, to include the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Upon discharge from active duty, he continued to support his country and retired from civil service after 35 years at Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, CA. Although retired, he liked to say he had a full time job being a carpenter and cabinet maker. At any time of the day or night, he could be found in his shop working on his next project. Wood working was absolutely his hobby but everyone who knew Manuel, knows his family was his true passion.

Manuel and Socorro passed on their love for the outdoors and camping to their children and is now a way of life and tradition for summers and holidays. He's proceeded in death by his parents, many loved ones, wife Socorro and son Ernie. He is survived within the hearts and memories of his children, Manuel Ordoñez Jr., Danny Ordoñez (Monique), Sandra Ordoñez Fimbres (George), Rudy Ordoñez, Gilbert Ordoñez (Becky) and Susan Ordoñez Reyes. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

"Be in Peace and spend eternal life with your beloved Socorro"
