Marie B. Edwards

Marie Britt Edwards, 103, of Oxnard, passed away on Aug. 31, 2013 in Oxnard.Marie, known to many as Mimi, born in El Paso on Sept. 9, 1909 to Walter and Mary Britt. Mother to Mary Carolyn Nielsen and widowed to Hoyt Edwards, marriage of 40 years. Traveling from Arizona to LA County, Marie held a variety of occupations. Among the many organizations Marie donated her time to The Catholic Daughters in Camarillo, The Heart Foundation, and two separate hospitals. She was most remembered in Riverside for donating many hours to raising additional funds for Saint Catherines.

For those of us close to Marie, we have been very blessed to continue our active and lucid relationship up to her passing.

While living in Ventura County, Marie is survived by 4 grand children, 18 great grand children and 10 great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Viewing will be from 6 to 7pm on Friday September 6 and Rosary from 7 to 7:45pm at FDA Conrad's & James Reardon Funeral Home, 401 W. Channel Isl. Blvd. Oxnard, CA (805)487-4911.
