Minnie Jackson Warren was born on August 18, 1921, in Mayfield, Texas to the late Hezekiah and Emma Jackson. She was a beautiful, elegant, graceful, Catholic woman. On February 18, 1940, Ms. Jackson married the love of her life, Roosevelt Warren, a hardworking dedicated family man. In 1945 they packed up their three children, and moved to Oxnard, Calif., where they would start a new chapter in life.
With nothing but a prayer, faith, and love, the two would start a business known to many as "Warren's Auto Wrecking." Warren's Auto Wrecking was built out of passion. Mr. Warren took pride in this, and his wife supported him without doubt or hesitations through their time together. This simple wrecking yard became the foundational part of the home that housed not only 12 children, but also many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. After the passing of Roosevelt Warren in 1984, Minnie was left to care for their children with no worries as a full time mother. On July 11, 2012, at the age of 90, she joined her heavenly father and left behind 11 of her 12 children.
Preceded her in death, Husband Roosevelt Warren, Son Elbert Warren. Survived in death, Marietha Davis, Roosevelt Warren Jr., Carol Thompson, Iris Warren, Gwendolyn Stewart, Curtis Warren, Mary Tatum, Myra Merricks, Arberdella Warren, David Warren, and Ilene Warren.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, July 16 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Conrad's & James Reardon in Oxnard, Calif. Mass will be held Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Oxnard, Calif. Her final resting place will be Santa Clara Cemetery.
