Patricia Acosta

February 12, 1964 – April 25, 2025
Obituary of Patricia Acosta
IN THE CARE OF

Funeraria del Angel Oxnard

Patricia “Pat” Anne Acosta (61) was born on February 12, 1964 in Oxnard, California and died, after a sudden illness, on April 25, 2025 in her home in Port Hueneme, California.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Michelle Nicole Acosta, her sister Berta Acosta Lageose (and her husband, Wade), a large extended family in the U.S and Mexico, her boyfriend Clive Wayne, and her dog Lucy. She is preceded in death by her parents Armando and Refugio Acosta and her dog Popcorn.

Patricia grew up on an agricultural ranch near the Santa Monica Mountains, surrounded by nature, wildlife, and many pet cats and dogs. Patricia was known for her outgoing nature and curiosity in school. After high school, she briefly married and worked as a waitress. At 24 she became a mother to Michelle, what she considered the best thing she had ever done. She moved in with her parents who helped her raise Michelle. She went on to study Television Production at Oxnard College and eventually worked several years as a Master Control Operator at Camarillo’s KADY television station. She transitioned to retail jobs where her customers always commented on her friendly and jovial personality.

Patricia will be remembered by her love of partying, rock music, her sense of humor and wit, and her generosity to others even when she had very little to give. She enjoyed cooking, reading, especially old books, collecting teacups, crafting including making miniature furniture for dollhouses, and caring for her beloved pets.

As per her wishes, Patricia will be cremated and her family will scatter her ashes in the ocean.
