Rosemary Guerrero, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on January 2, 1955, in Ventura, California, Rosemary spent her childhood growing up in Oxnard, California where she attended school. She was the eldest sibling to her sister Yolanda, brother Ray, and her late brother Tony.
Rosemary dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked for the Ventura County Assessors Office for many years until her retirement, but her desire to help people did not end there. She continued serving families through her work at a mortuary and funeral home, providing comfort and support to others during some of life's most difficult moments.
In June, Rosemary and her beloved husband, Hector, would have celebrated 53 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, loyalty, and devotion. Rosemary is survived by her husband Hector; her son Joaquin; her daughter Blanca; her four cherished granddaughters Dezy, Lauren, Alyson and Cayla; her sister Yolanda; her brother Ray; her sister-n-law Yvonne; nieces and nephews.
To know Rosemary was to know kindness. She was loyal, loving, selfless, hardworking, and endlessly generous. She found joy in life's simple pleasures. Spending time with family and friends, hosting gatherings, cooking for those she loved, gardening, and caring for others. Whether she was preparing a meal, tending her garden, helping a friend, caring for her mother and siblings, or simply sharing a conversation, Rosemary always put the needs of others before her own.
She had a gift for making people feel seen and appreciated. One of her most memorable habits was thanking workers wherever she went, often telling them, "Thank you for being here." She understood how hard people worked and wanted everyone to feel valued. She was equally known for her favorite phrase, "No worries," reminding those around her not to stress over life's challenges and to trust that things would work out.
Rosemary's greatest love was her family. She taught those around her the importance of loving one another, being patient, offering forgiveness, and showing kindness whenever possible. She was a trusted friend, a caring listener, a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a proud grandmother.
Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her. Yet her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love. Rosemary was truly one of a kind. A rare and beautiful soul who treated everyone she met with dignity and kindness.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
