Willie (Billye) Billye Elizabeth Norris

Billye was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Caldwell, Texas, the daughter of William M. and Martha E. Taylor. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, at Funeraria del Angel Conrad's and James Reardon, with funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 26, at the funeral home's chapel. Interment will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

Billye graduated from Caldwell High School, Texas, in 1936, and after several waitress jobs she moved to the Los Angeles area of California where she made her mark building airplanes in support of the war effort at North American Aviation for 12 years. Later she joined Artex Paints as an instructor for hand painting linens, where she later became the district manager of central California. Many customers, friends, and relatives' homes are adorned with her beautiful paintings.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Margaret Faye, Ester Marie Olson, and Joan Van derWerf; and a brother, Milton Lloyd Taylor.

She is survived by a brother, Alvis Marshal Taylor, Davenport, Iowa, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
