
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, September 12, 2011, at 2:00p.m. in the Newton City Cemetery with Father Tom Nixon and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mr. Spalding was born August 25, 1923 in Marion County, Kentucky. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the St. Helen's Catholic Church in Glasgow, Kentucky. He retired from the Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville, Kentucky after 27 years of dedicated service. Mr. Spalding was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Spalding.
Left to cherish Charles' memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Mildred Stephenson Spalding, three children, three step-children, one brother, his beloved pet (Louie), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family expresses their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Oakview Manor Health Care Facility for the excellent, professional and compassionate care Mr. Spalding received during his hospitalization and extended care.
