Elizabeth Hayes Garner

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church in Ariton with Pastors Thomas Kirkland and Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Garner was born in Dale County on January 24, 1940 to Lewis and Eddie Miller Hayes. She is retired from Dale County as Treasurer after 22 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hayes.

Mrs. Garner is survived by her husband of 40 years, Johnny Garner of Ariton; her mother, Mrs. Eddie M. Hayes of Ozark; daughters, Andrea McLendon (Terrance) of Ariton and Renee Garner of Ariton; two granddaughters, Libbi McLendon and Hannah Beckworth.
