

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark with the U. S. Army Chaplain officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Echo Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 26, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Gibson, the son of the late Amberous and Lula Helms Snell, was born February 3, 1919 in Coffee County, Alabama. Mr. Snell was a veteran of World War ll, served in the U. S. Army National Guard, and retired as a SFC (E-7) from the U. S. Army Reserve. Following his military service, he later retired from the logging business. He was a member of Good Tidings Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Snell is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby Snell of Echo; his daughter, Mabel Miller of Echo; his son, Larry Snell and wife Georgia of Dothan; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
