A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Camp Ground Baptist Church with Rev. Al Sonanstine and Rev. Danny Bynum officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, from 10-11 am.

Irene, the daughter of the late William Horace and Mary Mollie Blackmon Benson, was born May 20, 1918 in Dale County,

Alabama.

Mrs. Gunter is survived by several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Teresa Gunter.
