James Wendell Patterson

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Holy Faith Mission with Rev. Christine Gassett and Rev. Toby Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Patterson was born August 15, 1956 to Doc Virgil and Willie Grace Patterson and lived all of his life in Dale County. He was previously employed with Pemco as a security guard until his retirement due to health reasons. Mr. Patterson was an ongoing member of Holy Faith Mission.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his father; wife, Lisa Patterson; four children, Daniel Patterson (Jessica), Josh Patterson (Christy), Amanda Hudson (Jeremy), Jonah Patterson (Ashley); ten grandchildren, Braxton Sheppard, Christopher Dorrill, Brennen Patterson, Grayson Patterson, Savannah Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Deral Patterson, MaKayla Patterson, Levi Hudson, Chase Hudson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
