Janet Gilley Deel

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Grace Kirkland, CLS officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 4, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Deel was born October 12, 1952 in Dothan, Alabama, the daughter of the late Wiley D. Gilley and Maurice Harris Gilley Richardson.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Deel was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Deel, in April of 2009. She is survived by her mother; son, Jonathan Wayne Deel, Dothan; daughters, Elizabeth (Kameron) Peters, Emily (Joshua) Shinaberry, both of Dothan, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Johnson, Ft. Bragg, NC; brothers, Michael (Sherrie) Gilley, Roy (Sandy) Gilley, Cecil Gilley, all of Dothan; grandchildren, Taylor Griffin, Leaton Griffin, Sully Johnson, Sara Beth Peters, and Brody Peters.
