

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Newton Baptist Church with Chaplain Mike Dease, Rev. Benji Johnson, and Rev. Jerry Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Friday, March 11, from 6-8 p.m.
Johnny Mac Glover was born September 21, 1955 in Midland City, Alabama, son of Charlie Mack and Rosie Etta Vinson Glover. He was a member of Lighthouse Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Gene Glover, and a grandson, Peanut Bush.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Whitehead, of Newton; six daughters: Starla Kimbro of Wicksburg, Beverly Whitehead of Newton, Brandie Glover of Daleville, Bridget Bush, Wendi Glover and Whitney Barefield, all of Newton; one son, Johnny Mac Glover, Jr., and his wife, Savana, of Dothan; five step-children; four sisters: Annie Lou Mauldin of Andalusia, Elouise Elmore of Newton, Frances Willis and husband, Sammy, of Newton, and Cathy Dunn of Wicksburg; and twelve grandchildren.
