Judith, the daughter of the late Otto Lynn and Desie Pearl Robinson Pigott, was born July 17, 1934 in Lumberport, West Virginia. Mrs. Ashcraft, a decorative painter, was a member of the Wiregrass Decorative Painters and participated in the group project of painting Christmas ornaments for the White House. She was also a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters and attended national conventions throughout the United States. Her love of designing and painting wooden Christmas tree ornaments inspired her to create over 100 hand-painted unique ornaments that adorned the family Christmas tree and the trees of friends. Mrs. Ashcraft's oversized trio of decorative painted angels won second place in a National Peanut Festival.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Eugene Ashcraft of Ozark; her daughters, Kathy West (Gary) of Birmingham, AL and Karen Johnson of Columbus, OH; her son, Victor Lynn Ashcraft of Aurora, IL; and two grandchildren, Gregory Scott West of Seattle, WA and Connor Johnson of Columbus, OH.
