Laurence Edwin Darlington Jr.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in honor of Mr. Darlington.

Major Darlington was born in Corvallis, Oregon to the late Laurence Edwin Darlington, Sr. and Dorothy Dunham Darlington. Upon graduation from high school he attended the University of Oregon where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He retired from the Army having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his career with the military he worked for the State of Alabama ABC board upon his retirement.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Darlington and a grandson, Ryan Elderidge.

Major Darlington leaves behind to cherish his memories, daughters; Donna Eldridge (Wayne) of Ozark, Debbie Powell (Philip) of Ozark, Cathy Bedsole (Steve) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Wes Eldridge, Matt Eldridge, Philip Powell, Hunter Powell (Michelle), Rachael Gannon (Jim), Becca Dill (Derek); great-grandchildren, Holton Powell, Alice Powell, Kade Gannon and Cooper Dill; nieces and nephews from Corvalis, Oregon.
