Mrs. Louise Sistrunk Lenard

On June 4, 2011 at the age of 84, the Lord called her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00a.m. from Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend S. C. Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Westside Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was the fifth child of sixteen siblings. At an early age she joined Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church and was a devoted member until her death.

She was educated in Ozark City Schools. Her joy was going to the Senior Citizen Center and quilting.

On December 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to the late Eldridge Lenard. Unto this union four children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Arlanda (Shirleen) Sistrunk, Edward (Darlene) Leonard, Ozark, AL, Elijah (Cynthia) Leonard, Gary, IN; one devoted daughter, Lillian (Sherman) Horne, Ozark, AL; three sisters, Grace (Jimmie) Knight, Ozark, AL, Annette Lawrence, Merriville, IN, Everee Sistrunk, Memphis, TN; one brother, Eddie Roy (Deloise) Sistrunk, Ozark, AL; one sister-in-law, Annie Jewel Sistrunk, Ozark, AL; 21 grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a faithful friend, Johnnie Mae McLeod, Ozark, AL, and a host of relatives and friends.
