
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church with The Rt. Rev. Philip Duncan officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 955, Ozark, AL 36361.
Mrs. Nixon was born March 21, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama, daughter of Palmer and Daisy Page. She was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Margaret was a proud graduate of The University of Alabama. She had taught in the Birmingham, Dothan and Enterprise School Systems until her retirement in 1999. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Roy and William Page.
Survivors include her husband, The Rev. Thomas Nixon, Ozark, AL; two step-sons: Matthew Harper-Nixon and wife, Allyson, and Daniel Harper-Nixon; and one step-grandson, Teddy Harper-Nixon.
