Thelda Mae Hagler Burgess

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from the Blue Springs Word of Truth Church, Hwy. 10 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Greg Doss and Rev. Tim Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Word of Truth Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2011, from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Thelda, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie Shirah Hagler, was born February 17, 1922 in Blue Springs, Alabama. She was a member of the Ozark Praise and Worship Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Ann Spears (Frank) of Skipperville, Dorothy Shehane (Billy) of Ozark, Linda Campbell (Billy) of Clio; two sons, Timothy Burgess (Melissa) of Ozark and Daniel Burgess (Rhonda) of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, her twin, Hilda Barefield, Annie Herring (Talmadge) and Eunice Birge; one brother, Howard Hagler (Lois).
