She was a member of Woods' Cove Baptist Church in Scottsboro, AL, where she sang in the Woods' Cove Quartet for several years. She retired from the Department of Human Resources after 26 1/2 years where she first worked as a home maker, and then a receptionist/secretary. She enjoyed doing things for her family and friends such as cooking little treats and/ or big meals, quilting, crocheting, and gardening. All who met her left feeling uplifted, loved, and fortunate to have known her. Although cancer weakened her body, it never touched her spirit nor love for her family and her God. Her Christian life is a shining example that will minister to people for years to come.
