Albert John Malerk, 72 of Micco, passed away Tue. Jan 17, 2012 in Melbourne. He was born Jul 15, 1939 in Rochester, NY to Otto and Frances Malerk. Al enjoyed Scuba diving, classic cars, traveling in his RV and he was a private pilot. He worked as an electrical engineer for the Aerospace industry building guidance systems for the space program. Albert also founded the Bethel Marine Corporation of Melbourne.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Sandra, children, Steven Malerk, Patrick (Angela) Malerk, Denise Marr, Linda (Richard) Boychuk, grandchildren, Thomas Malerk, Christopher and Kevin Marr, great grandson Eoghan Marr. Albert was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Fountainhead Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like everyone to bring a picture of Albert with a story for the family album.
