Ambrose Balfour Moore also known to family and friends as "JIM", was born on August 8th, 1930. In St. Mary Jamaica in a town called Highgate to the late Edwin & Euphemia Moore. He was the youngest of his 6 siblings.
From early on in his childhood Jim took on the responsibilities of his family's farm. As a young teen he obtained his first job at one of the shops in Highgate.
In 1951, he married his childhood friend Pearl Edwards and they would produce four children: Asnette, Ambrose Ainsley, Pauline, and AngelIa.
Jim then became a Seaman for a transporting and exporting company. While working he was able to travel the world and visit places such as Rome, Jerusalem and the USA.
Along his travels one day he decided to disembark the ship and move to the second place he would call home Brooklyn, New York.
In 1970, Jim began his new career at one of the largest electric company's in New York Con Edison, where he would work for the next 22 years.
Eight years later in 1978 he met his now wife Eileen known as "JEAN" to most. August of 1979 in Brooklyn Jim & Jean would produce their only son Dwayne. He was the fifth child to Jim and the second to Jean. They would eventually marry on November 24th, 1990.
In 1992, Jim retired from Con Edison and moved his family from Brooklyn to a suburb of Melbourne Florida called Palm Bay. This would now become his third home. He then built his family a new home. Then he built himself a farm in Fellsmere, Florida that he would call Dean Pen. He then joined the Pride of Palm Bay lodge where he would he enjoy the company of his lodge brothers.
Jim was very kind and giving to his family and friends. He worked every day on his farm up until his untimely death.
On August 8th, 2019 he turned 89. On August 10th, 2019 what would be Dwayne's 40th Birthday, he would have a massive heart attack. Sadly he would pass away on August 30th, 2019 of complications.
He is survived by his wife Eileen, one Brother Stanley Moore,four children: Asnette, Ambrose Ainsley, Angella and Dwayne, one stepson Patrick, three loving sister-in-laws: Daphne Webster, Lola Evans, and Sheila Moore, one daughter-in-law Lisa, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his third child Pauline.
