.Celebrating the life of Arthur William McGill (11-09-1927 – 07-24-2014) Arthur William McGill departed this life for his eternal rest on Thursday July 24, 2014. Arthur was born in Eldred, PA to the parents of Arthur and Audra McGill. After attending High School Arthur join the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was heavily involved in politics and spent a lot of time working for his candidate of choice at that time. Arthur enjoyed politics, military and history movies, worked bingo when his children attended Parochial school, and ushering at church. He was a member of the IBEW Electrical Union LU237 and would have received the honor of serving for 65 years, Electrical Inspector for City of Niagara Falls, owned his own electrical business (which is still run by family) American Legion Post #117, VFW Post 1005, Lifetime member of the 4th Degree Knight Our Lady of Grace, Cruiser Sailor Assos, and USS Helena Assos CA75, traveling from coast to coast attending his ships reunion every two years, enjoyed going on the Honor Flight for WWll veterans.
Arthur leaves to mourn his loving wife of 18 years Sandra; belonged to a family of 7 children: Margaret Stoyell, Jeanne (Fred) Haag, Celestine Chirumblo, Tom (Joan) McGill, John (Rosalie) McGill and Bettyann (Fred) Kaminska. Leaves behind 9 children: Patricia McGill, Mary (Don) Zewin, Charles (Barbara) McGill, Grace (Frederick) Feldhousen, Teresa (Jerry) Petre, Michael McGill, Margaret (Steven) Pashkutz, Elizabeth Browne, Roderick (Missy) McGill, 2 step-sons: David (Joan) Turri, Shawn (Robyn) Turri 53 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Arthur McGill, daughter Julia McGill, grandson Joseph, loving wife (Patricia) of 44 years, and brother-in-law Roderick (Clare) Ball. Services will be held Tuesday August 5, 2014 1:00 pm at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church.
