

She worked as a Registered Nurse until retiring to enjoy crocheting, crossword puzzles, and baking. She was a member of New Testament Bethel Ministry and Palm Bay United Methodist. She belonged to the Nurse’s Association and also Rainbow Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Matthews; and two sisters: Mavis and Barbara Taylor.
She is survived by two sons: Trevor (Beatrice) Matthews of Palm Bay and Monty(Hazel)Matthews of New York; two daughters: Marilyn (Shem) Lewinson of Palm Bay and Roxanne Matthews of Palm Bay; brother, Neville Taylor of London; nieces: Pamela Williams and Sally (Steve) Johnson; nephews: Carl (Deyon) Taylor and Lawrence (Marie Louise) Taylor, 11 grandchildren Kimmel, Trevor Michael, Kindra, Kevin, Krystal, Jolyon, Kory, Joaquim, Malik, Joanne and Andrea; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rivers Edge Adult Day Care or Vitas Hospice.
A visitation will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home Tuesday (7/15) from 5-7PM followed by a funeral service Wednesday (7/16) at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
