Betty Jane Skinner Arnett, 84, of Melbourne died Thursday (11/20) in the Atlantic Shores Nursing Home. She came to Brevard County in 1957 from Knoxville, Tenn. Betty had been much involved with the Space Coast Therapy Dogs Organization and would take her therapy dog anywhere in the county that she was asked to visit. She was a member of the Harbor City Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Deborah Arnett of Melbourne; grandson Daniel Meracle; great grandchildren: Isabella Meracle and Ashylynn Durrance both of Melbourne; sister and brother: Mary and Joe Perry of Tenn.; niece Sandy Nichols of Melbourne; nephew: Steve Blankenbeckler of Las Vegas, NV; and great nephews Jeff and Mike Nichols of Melbourne. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Arnett.
