Brian Scott Schiff

November 15, 1961-August 16, 2026

Brian passed away August 16, in Nashville, Tennessee after several years battling heart disease and later kidney failure with loving care and support of his brother, step granddaughter and wonderful friends.

He is survived by brother Marc Schiff (Marilyn Schiff) nephews Dustin Schiff (Kim Schiff) Ryan Schiff, Steven Schiff and two great nieces, adopted daughter Jennifer Astle, from a loving past relationship, granddaughters, Alexis Astle, Taylor Astle, Jasmine Astle and three great granddaughters.

Brian was born November 15, 1961 in Melbourne, Florida to parents Edna & Lee Schiff and big brother (11 ½ years old) Marc. His parents were busy at their restaurant “Lee’s Charcoal Pit” so big brother helped in raising and spoiling him.

At 13, after years of studying Jewish history, religion, torah and Hebrew, Brian had his Bar Mitzvah, at his party that evening he played the drums with the band and was a big hit. At the time, he was also at Hoover Jr High in the marching band.

His family opened “Fireside Pit” in Indialantic 1975, where he learned the restaurant business working alongside them and developed his great personality with all the customers. In 1986 he worked at his brother’s new restaurant “CHEKMARC’S OF Palm Bay as a manager.

He graduated from Mel HI June 1980, and in November welcomed his first nephew Dustin. He was loving, adoring, funny, and devoted to his three nephews and three step granddaughters.

After graduation he began a career in sales with Brevard Paper, Daal Tile and later moved to Nashville opening his own franchise stores of Wireless Dimensions with help from his nephews Dustin & Steven. He then worked at major Furniture stores in Nashville including “Rooms 2 Go” where he became their top salesman in the Kids furniture department with major Country and Sports stars as his customers.

Brian had many good friends in Nashville going to many sporting events together. Go Predators!! Go Tennessee Titans!! And all the guy times just hanging out. He never let his illness keep him from friends. With Facebook he rekindled with many friends from high school, Melbourne Jaycees and friends from Rooms 2 Go. Friendships were a true pleasure to him. He also loved visits with Marc and his family especially the celebrations, as well as visits and trips with his adopted family. He also enjoyed his hobby of gardening and sharing the vegetables with neighbors and friends and even to family in Florida.

Brian will be deeply missed by all the people whose lives he touched.
