

Born October 3, 1957, in Washington, D.C., Brian was the beloved son of Everett Stevenson Jr. and Sarah Robinson. From an early age, he exhibited a deep passion for music, a calling that would ultimately shape the course of his life. He attended the University of Maryland, where he pursued a major in law and a minor in music. Although he did not complete his degree, Brian made the bold decision to follow his true passion, music, a choice that led him to a rich and fulfilling career.
Brian was a gifted pianist, vocalist, and performer who spent many years as a musician with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, traveling the world and sharing his extraordinary talent with audiences across the globe. Known for his versatility, he could play virtually any genre, drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, and James Brown. A significant part of his career, was spent as a talented member of the Brooks Paxton Band, a cover band where his musical range and stage presence shined.
Larger than life, Brian was known for his infectious humor, quirky personality, and undeniable charisma. He brought joy to any room he entered. Beyond music, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, fishing, shooting pool, bowling, and attending auto shows, boat shows, and recreational vehicle shows. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Brian was a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and his faith remained an important part of his life. He attended Shaw United Methodist Church, a church founded by his grandfather, maintaining a deep connection to his family’s legacy and spiritual roots.
Brian will be remembered for his immense talent, his adventurous spirit, and the laughter he brought to so many. His legacy lives on through the music he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories cherished by those who knew and loved him.
His memory will be cherished by his loving family of his sisters, Le'Shone Stevenson and Donna ”Candy” Stevenson; Niece, Tineshea O'Donnell; Great-niece, Aidaliz Rosadopadilla; Great-nephew, Jonathan O'Donnell Jr.; his god-daughter, RaShone Williams; a god sister, Wanda Lawson; and a host of other cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
