Carol A. Burkhead

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Carol Ann Burkhead, 78, of Palm Bay, Florida. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Carol went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Carol was born on September 25, 1948, in White Plains, New York, to Thomas and Eleanor Fahey.

She dedicated her life to her family, sharing 60 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Donald Lee Burkhead, and lovingly raising her children.

Carol was known for her strong work ethic, resilience, and unwavering strength through every season of life. She spent most of her life in Palm Beach County and proudly served the community for 21 years as a school crossing guard with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, helping keep children safe each day.

She found great joy in boating, spending time with family, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren. Her love, kindness, and dedication to those she cared for will be remembered always.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Alan Burkhead (1966-1969).

She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Lee Burkhead; her daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Eric Reynolds, and Nicole and Tim Coleman; and her five beloved grandchildren, Summer, Kayla, Micah (Olivia), Nathan, and Jake. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

In accordance with Carol's wishes, a private family remembrance will be held for immediate family. The family welcomes your thoughts, prayers, and shared memories as they celebrate her life.
