

Charles, graduated from Central High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a talented artist, and after graduation attended the Cincinnati Art Academy, where he honed his passion for creative expression. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard on the U.S.C.G.C. Bering Strait and other patrol craft, demonstrating his commitment to his country.
In addition to his artistic pursuits and military service, Charles owned and operated a successful construction company in Cincinnati, OH, for many years. His artistic side and eye for design was expressed in his home construction.
Charles was a true adventurer with a zest for life and a love for travel. He embraced new experiences, always yearning to explore and discover. His enthusiasm for life was contagious and served as an inspiration to those around him. He lived a full life and on his own terms.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charles Bogenschutz, as well as his son, David Michael Bogenschutz.
Charles's memory lives on through his children: son, Charles Joseph Bogenschutz Jr. and his wife Rhonda Bogenschutz, and his daughter, Sandra Lynn (Bogenschutz) Forbes and her husband Akpan Forbes.
His presence will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Lyndi Bogenschutz, Charles Bogenschutz III and his wife Gabrielle Tisch, Benjamin Vu, Catherine Vu, Daniel Vu, and great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Bogenschutz-Tisch.
Charles will be remembered fondly by his brothers and sisters and their families: Donna (Bogenschutz) Williams and her children; Thomas Bogenschutz and Randal Bogenschutz, William Bogenschutz and his wife Bunnie Bogenschutz and their children; April (Bogenschutz) Omohundro and Billy Bogenschutz, Ray Bogenschutz and his wife Connie Bogenschutz; and children Raymond Bogenschutz and Allen Bogenschutz, Roy Bogenschutz, Dorothy (Bogenschutz) Richolson and her husband Jay Richolson, Terrance Bogenschutz and his wife Carol Bogenschutz and their children; Susan (Bogenschutz) Stark and Terrance Bogenschutz, and Mary Joe Bogenschutz - Godwin and her husband Scott Godwin.
In celebrating Charles's life, it is important to remember his vibrant spirit, kindness, and the impact he had on all those fortunate enough to know him. Charles Joseph Bogenschutz will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A committal service for Charles will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
