Herb Franklin of Sebastian, Florida passed away on May 27th following a brief illness.
He was born in Twinton, Tennessee on August 9, 1928 to the late Albert and Roxie (Sells) Franklin.
Herb proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry. He worked for Warner Gear, and then for many years with Attlin Construction until he moved to Vero Beach, Fl. in 1973. He was a 50 year member of Delaware Masonic Lodge No. 46 Indiana.
Herb will be missed by his daughter, Sandra R Franklin of Indiana, and daughter and caretaker, Susan Franklin Mitchell, Hutchinson Island, Florida. He will also be missed by one brother, James Franklin (Mary Jane) of Muncie, Indiana, one granddaughter, Michele Stark (Jason), Muncie, three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Beverly Sue Wooten of Muncie, brother-in-law, William Eugene Wiggerly, Fort Pierce, and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dolores A. (Wiggerly) Franklin, sister Phyllis Norris (Jim), and brothers, Phillip J. Franklin (Norma), and brother William B. (Boyd) Franklin.
Funeral services will be held for immediate family only on Sunday,
May 31, 2020, 5:00 pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay.
A Masonic Lodge Service will be conducted at the funeral home along with military rites conducted by the American Legion.
The Family has requested that donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
