July 17, 2026. She passed away peacefully in her sleep following a brief battle with cancer. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orville.
Connie was born in Spring Lake, Michigan, to the late George and Marie Jansen. She attended Milwaukee Bible College, where she met her future husband, Orville. They were married and answered God’s calling to serve on the mission field in the Philippine Islands, where they ministered for eight years.
After returning from the mission field, Connie and Orville made their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Upon retirement, they moved to Palm Bay, Florida, where they were blessed with many years of friendship, fellowship, and time with those they loved. Connie treasured opportunities to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was a source of great joy, and the memories they shared together will remain deeply cherished.
Connie will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving heart, gentle spirit, and the kindness and care she showed to her family, friends, and those around her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of her love and devotion to the Lord. She faithfully shared her musical gifts by playing the piano in church, participating in Bible studies, and supporting church ministries wherever she was needed.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior and reunited with her beloved Orville.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Joy (born in the Philippines), of Telford, Pennsylvania; her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel (born in the Philippines) and Katherine, of Independence, Kansas; her son, Mark (born in Florida), of Palm Bay, Florida; and her son and daughter-in-law, Tim (born in Michigan) and Rebecca, of Houston, Texas. She is also lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Larry Sietsma; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Donna Jansen; and a cherished niece, nephews, and great-nephews.
Connie’s legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
