Delores Ann Stokes, 70, went to be the Lord July 5th, 2017, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Dee lived in her condo in Palm Bay where she adored her small community of friends. Dee was born in Carreta W. Virginia and spent the first part of her life in Hampton VA with her mother, brother, sister in law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who still reside there. Dee ended up marrying and moving to Florida in the early 80's. Dee gave over two decades working at Cracker Barrel restaurant in Vierra FL where she met and kept a very close group of friends. She enjoyed cruises, vacationing, going out with friends, spending time with her family and most of all worshipping our Lord. All her friends knew she had a direct hotline to Heaven and came to her for prayer and support knowing she would open her arms and ears any time day or night. Dee is survived by her loving mother Helena Cooper, her two brothers Dennis Cooper and Larry Jones, her two wonderful sons David and Daniel Stokes as well as her pride and joy her granddaughter Summer Stokes.
There are no words to describe the pain and emptiness felt by all who knew her and to say she will be missed is truly an understatement. Anyone who knew her knows she's in heaven smiling down saying don't cry for me I'm better now.
“Therefore you too have grief now, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22
