Doyle J. Whipkey, 90, of Palm Bay died Friday (10/11). A native of Bristoria, Penn he came to the Palm Bay area in 1989 from Dayton, Ohio. An Electrician by trade, Doyle worked around the county maintaining and setting up the traffic lights. Doyle was an active member of the Victory Assembly of God Church and displayed his love of music and singing by serving as Choir Director. Always active, he would spend much time gardening and growing healthy and full gardens. He was a member of the Conservancy Masonic Lodge No. 661 F & AM of Dayton, Ohio and the Eastern Star in Dayton. He had also served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ruby; a brother: Ralph Anderson and sister Marcia Sterling both of Holbrook, Penn; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Victory Assembly of God Church, 1800 Blaine St., NE, Palm Bay on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
