Edgar F Huffmire

Born in Brooklyn New York, he was the son of Daniel and Flossie Huffmire. US Navy Petty Officer First Class Machinist Mate, Heavy Duty Construction Mechanic, Truck Driver, Retired Plant Manager for Northville Industries – Holtsville Long Island Terminal.

He was a member of the Fraternal order of the Moose, Lodge Number 2367 Fellow (Blue Coat) and Life Long member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion. He enjoyed his family using his gift of being a “Jack of all Trades”, spearheading home improvement projects and helping all that needed his gift. He will be remembered for his humor and joy for life.

He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; son Thomas Huffmire wife Nancy Granddaughter Jennifer, Daughter Lisa Southard husband William “Bill” Grandchildren; Jason, Kristin and William “Billy” and Great Grandchildren Vera and Emma, Daughter Laura husband William “Bill”, Grandchildren Brianna and Devin, Nephew William (Bill) Mitchel and wife Linda, Nephew Lenard Huffmire and Nieces Elizabeth Huffmire-Miastkowski and Carolyn Slawski-Huffmire. He was proceeded by; Dorothy Mitchel, Wayne Huffmire and Lenard Huffmire.

The memorial service will be held on September 3rd at 1 PM at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home 560 Montreal Avenue Melbourne, FL 32935. Interment will be conducted at Calverton National Cemetery Long Island New York (Date to be scheduled).
