Edna Ybanez Schmitt, 59 passed away peacefully on Friday June 17, 2011,surrounded by her family. Even though you’re gone, we hear your laughter still. You always brought us joy, and, in memory, always will. She is survived by her husband, Bernhard Schmitt; her four children with first husband Brian Towers, Brenda and husband Chad Stevens of Melbourne, FL; Julius Towers and partner Eric Zuniga of New York, NY; Jennifer Towers and fiancé Nick Vargas of Lafayette, IN; Patrick Towers and fiancé Kimberly Librojo of Orlando, FL; her sister, Thelma and husband Mike James; and her three grandchildren, William Carpenter, Christopher Carpenter and Brad Stevens. She was predeceased by her mother, Tomasa Lopez and father, Julian Ybanez of Cebu, Philippines. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, patience, selflessness, resolve and most of all, her commitment to family. Mahal kita, Maganda. Her viewing will take place at the Fountainhead Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00am at Fountainhead Funeral Home. Entombment will follow the service at Fountainhead Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to attend.
