

Born in Purceville, Virginia on 2 April 1917, Edna spent most of her life in Arlington, Virginia where she was very active in the Baptist church as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the church choir and a church pianist. She retired from the U.S. Department of Justice as a legal adviser to the Solicitor General and moved to Palm Bay Florida in the early 80’s. Edna enjoyed oil painting, gardening and traveling all over the world with first her husband and then her daughter. She last resided in Palm Cottages in Rockledge where despite her battle with Alzheimer’s was always happy. Edna was preceded in death by her husband John Perry Taylor. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Stan Neff of Melbourne, Florida, her sister Mary Catherine Jones of Vienna, Virginia and her brother Lawrence Coffman of Rockville, Maryland. Final arrangements are being handled by the Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Palm Bay, Florida for private graveside ceremony.
