Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of John Francis West and Edith Johnson. She graduated from North Miami Sr. High School. She was employed at Northrop Grumman as an accountant; she retired after 18 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was active and oversaw various charities through the church such as food drives and food kitchens. She will be remembered for her loving, caring and giving personality.
She is survived by her husband, Walt; children: Kim, John (Heather), and Andrew; grandsons, Sean and Jason; and granddaughters, Ashley and Lillian. She was preceded by her parents, John and Edith; and a brother, Michael.
The memorial service will be determined at a later date.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Alzheimer research.
