Elaine Ruth Sugarman, 81, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. She was born in Washington, D.C. and came to Brevard County in 1976 from Monticello, NY. In New York, she was a member of the Volunteer Ambulance Squad for many years. After moving to Florida she volunteered for Holmes Regional Medical Center in the gift shop for over 25 years.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Melvin; her son Randy Sugarman and his wife Brenda; her daughters Marleen Flint and her husband Kenneth, and BethAnn Sugarman; and her brothers Bob Galler and Jon G. Jansen; eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Renee Sugarman Monico.
A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. today, October 23, 2012 at Fountainhead Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to William Childs Hospice House.
