

Eloise Katherine Walker Steele, 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Tradition Medical Center in Port St Lucie, Florida. She was the wife of the Rev. James Steele, Jr who preceded her in death. She was married on April 12, 1944 at the Miami First Church of the Nazarene, Miami, Florida. Her husband, James Steele, Jr., was in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, stationed in Miami. They shared 71 happy years of marriage together.
She was born in Frostproof, Florida on October 1, 1922, and was the daughter of: Edward Walker and Bessie Mae Williams Walker. She graduated from Miami Senior High School in Miami, Florida. Her first job was with Miami Transit. She retired from the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Palm Beach County and worked as their Retirement Coordinator. She was a member of the Port St. Lucie Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies included: sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and crossword and suduko puzzles. She was active in church activities until her death. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, and her love for God, family, church, friends, and others.
She is survived by one sister, three daughters, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren and their spouses, eleven great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, father, brother, husband, son, brother-in-law, and son-in-law.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2017 there will be a graveside service at 11:00am in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Fountainhead Memorial Park located at: 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 6:30pm at Port St. Lucie Church Of The Nazarene located at: 121 SW Kestor Dr., Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34953.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests an offering be sent in the Memory of Eloise K. Steele to the Port St. Lucie Church of the Nazarene located at: 121 SW Kestor Drive, Port St Lucie, Florida 34953.
