Mrs. Dorrance was born in Irvington, New Jersey. She moved from Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey to Brevard County in 1970. Devoted wife to the late William R. Dorrance, Jr., they were the former owners of Sportsman Camping Center in Rockledge, and the Ridge Mart in Point Pleasant Beach. She retired after 20 years from Florida Institute of Technology.
Surviving are her brother, Robert Fergusson of Laguna Woods, CA; nieces, Jean Ann Carter, Kristin Grecco, and Linda Reeves; and nephews James N. Fergusson and Robert J. Fergusson, Jr.
No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be private. Burial will take place in Fountainhead Memorial Park. Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
