Ena Joyce Tennant was born in Havana, Cuba on October 24, 1926 to Albert Lattibudiere and Diana Kerr. At the age of 4 she went to Jamaica along with her brothers and was surrounded by many cousins. She attended private school and later attended Merle Grove Secondary School. She married her husband George Tennant and had twins Paulo and Pauline. After a few years George left for England to establish a life for the family. Shortly after she joined him and their children followed later.
After a few years they migrated to the United States; where Ena became the Matriarch of the family. Her home was known as "The Headquarters"; as she was to sponsor many of her family members to America. Ena also worked for the Royal Insurance Co. for 25 years. In 1992 she and George retired to Palm Bay, Florida. They became faithful members of The Church of Our Savior. She also became a member of The Salvation Army Women's League. Within her community she became known for her beautiful hats and sweet potato pudding.
Following Georges' passing Ena moved to Atlanta, Georgia to live and be cared for by her daughter Pauline. While living there for seven years she continued to support the church in Palm Bay. She was known for her generosity to her family, friends and many charities. Traveling was also one of her joys. Ena lived a long and healthy life. She valued and loved her relationship with God, her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Paulo and Pauline, grandchildren Michael, Ashley, Nicole, and Blake. Along with her great grandchildren Leyla and Mya, and many nieces and nephews. Ena will be missed, but God has her in His Keeping.
