Ernest E. Hersey, 95, of Vero Beach, died Saturday December 22, 2012 at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL. He was born in Floral Park, NY and came to Florida in 1983 from New Hyde Park, NY. He was a part owner of Manhattan Food Stores. He was a veteran of the Army and served during WWII. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in New York.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Barbara. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Hersey and Sandra Gallt; his grandchildren Gregory Hersey, Donna McGowan, and David Gallt; and his great grandchildren Joshua, Jesse, Jenna and Amelia.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay, Florida.
