

Born in Canandaigua, NY, on May 23, 1927, he was the son of Ambrose and Myra Barry. After high school, he served one enlistment in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Barry, on his 26th birthday, May 23, 1953. She predeceased him on Aug. 8, 2013.
After short stints as both a butcher and roofer, Mr. Barry was employed by Rochester Gas and Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1986 as a foreman.
He is survived by three sons and their spouses, David R. Barry and his wife Nancy, Lexington Park, MD; James F. Barry and his wife Sheryl, Goshen, NY; and Kevin M. Barry and his wife Mary Jane, Canandaigua, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother Ambrose Barry and his wife Ethel, Sebastian, FL, plus many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Geraldine Barry, Dorothy Vogt and Avis Mellen.
Mr. Barry was a devoted husband and father. He was an avid sports fan, particularly baseball. He was active in Barefoot Bay softball for 21 yrs. playing until the age of 80, as well as the Upstate New York Club. He loved to travel, and especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Services will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7359 Babcock Street, SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909 on Thursday, March 24 at 11 a.m.
