

Martingano, Evelyn, 91, of Palm Bay died Wednesday (1/2) here in Palm Bay. Mrs. Martingano was a native of Brooklyn, New York and came to the area in 1991 from Matawan, NJ. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and an avid artist. She was well known for her ability to draw realistic pictures of individuals as well as any other subject, even from photographs. During WW II she would send copies of the Vargas Pin Up girls to her husband and his fellow troopers. She created jewelry and enjoyed sewing. Another of her pleasures was using her creativity to make various Christmas decorations.
Mrs. Martingano was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Salvatore, Sr. and a daughter Diane who died at 16. She is survived by a son: Sal of Indiatlantic; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Daniel, and Adam; and five great-grandchildren: Christian, Bridget, Jaiden, Camden, and Isabela.
Funeral services will be Saturday (Jan. 12) at 1:00 PM in the Fountainhead Funeral Chapel with Deacon Al Soma officiating. Entombment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Fountainhead Funeral Home is in charge of services.
