Evelyn Aldora Sylvester

Celebrating the life of Evelyn Aldora Sylvester(10-19-1940 – 08-06-2014) Evelyn Aldora Sylvester departed this life for her eternal rest on Wednesday August 6, 2014 in the presence of her loving son. Evelyn was born in St. Vincent, West Indies to the parents of Cuthbert and Meriam Sylvester.

She moved to Florida in the late 90’s after retiring as a nurse in the Bronx, New York where she lived. Evelyn enjoyed shopping, studying her Bible, working in her flower garden, good story telling, fine cuisine, and a good laugh. She was known to be very independent and crafty with her hands building things.

She leaves to mourn her two sons Marlon and his wife Karen from Mason, Ohio; Michael and his wife Valerie of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren Nia, Malik, Jamila, Jalal, Kamal, Taylor, and Peyton; four brothers Cleo, Patrick, Cyrus, and Ivan; two sisters Ines, and Bernadette. Evelyn was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, Leonard, Nathan and one sister Sheila.

Visitation will be held this Friday August 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be held Saturday August 16th at Fountainhead Funeral Home Palm Bay, Florida beginning at 11:00am. Fountainhead Funeral Home in charge of services
