Florence Veronica Dann

Florence Veronica Dann was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on December 17, 1931. She attended Jackson’s Private High School in the 1940s. She is the eldest of 14 children, some of whom have predeceased her. The mother of five (5) children, Maureen, Seymour, Norris, Beverley and Millicent, seven (7) grandchildren and three (3) great-grandchildren.

Florence spent most of her life taking care of her children and for some years she worked assiduously in a Manufacturing Industry.

She migrated to the U.S.A. in 1996, twenty-eight years ago. She enjoyed travelling not only in the United States but to other countries as well. She was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed biblical discussions.

Florence had an indomitable spirit, never allowing life’s trials to overcome her, but with courage, boldness, strength and determination, would conquer every obstacle which crossed her path. Her generosity was not limited to her children or relatives, but extended to her friends and strangers alike. She was selfless in her actions and would go the extra mile to cater to the needs of others.

She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all.

A visitation for Florence will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1000 Americana Blvd. NE, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
