Francis J. Poelaert, 85, of Palm Bay died Wednesday (12/17) at his home. A native of Greenwich, Conn, he came to the Palm Bay area in 1995 from Ft. Lauderdale. Francis was a Lutheran and served in Germany in the US Army during WW II. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a machinist by trade and did exceptional wood working as a hobby. An avid marksman he also enjoyed duck hunting. He was a member of the American Legion Post #117, Palm Bay.
Survivors include his wife: Barbara; children: Robert Poelaert, Mary Ellen Poelaert; step children: Joseph Grand, Jr., Thomas (Melanie) Grand, Cindy Robertson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
