
Connecticut and came to Brevard in 1969 after he retired from the U.S. Navy as a Commander. He
served his country in both WWII and Korea. After his retirement from the Navy he put his Degree in
Horticulture to work working for Brevard County Extension service and as a Plant Inspector for the State
of Florida. Lucky was active in The Melbourne Church of Christ and Turkey Creek Sanctuary.
Lucky is survived by his daughter Linda Smith of North Carolina, his son Leonard Smith of Idaho, his
sisters Ann Dessert of Arizona and Pat Lincoln of North Carolina, his brother Robbins Smith of Ft. Myers,
FL and his long-time companion Yvette Wendt. Lucky was preceded in death by his wife Dru Smith in
1999.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Fountainhead
Funeral Home. The family will receive friend one hour prior. Burial will follow at Fountainhead Memorial
Park.
