It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Thomas, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this world at the age of 78. Frank left us on January 8th, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family and the memories of a life well-lived.
Born on May 4th, 1945 , Frank was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pat, and their five children, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished deeply. His legacy is etched in the hearts of those who knew him, and his absence will be profoundly felt.
Frank dedicated four decades of his life to Florida Power and Light, where his hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. His professional journey was not just a career but a testament to his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
Outside of work, Frank found solace and joy in the embrace of nature, particularly his love for the water. Whether it was fishing, boating, hunting, or simply enjoying the serenity of the river, that's where Frank loved to be.
Frank's life was marked by his generosity, kindness, and an ever-present smile. His warm spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we mourn the loss of Frank Thomas, let us also celebrate the life he lived—a life full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all as we remember the man who touched our lives in so many beautiful ways.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the William Childs Hospice House for their great care and compassion.
May he rest in eternal peace.
