He was born in Millville, New Jersey to Horace Church Donley and Myrtle E. (Peterson) Donley, and came to Brevard County in 1985 from Pennsville, New Jersey.
Gene was a member of the Palm Bay Senior Center and the Wesleyan Church of Melbourne. He loved to sail, and was a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary, on February 12, 2014.
Inurnment will take place at Fountainhead Memorial Park at a later date.
